Noida Expressway Latest Updates

The Noida Expressway continues to be a focal point of infrastructural development in the National Capital Region (NCR). Recent initiatives aim to enhance connectivity, reduce congestion, and support the region's rapid urbanization. Here's an overview of the latest projects and upgrades shaping the future of Noida's expressway network.

Major Infrastructure Developments

4 km Elevated Road Connecting Sector 4 to Delhi-Meerut Expressway

To alleviate traffic congestion and improve connectivity between Greater Noida and Delhi, the Greater Noida Authority, in collaboration with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), has approved a 4 km elevated road project. This road will link Sector 4 in Greater Noida to the Delhi-Meerut Expressway, passing over Shahberi and Crossings Republik in Ghaziabad. The ₹400 crore project aims to ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity between Greater Noida and Delhi.

Land Acquisition for Road Connecting LG Chowk to Knowledge Park 3

The Greater Noida Authority is set to acquire 20 hectares of land owned by T-Series in Namoli to construct a vital road connecting LG Chowk with Knowledge Park 3. Repeated negotiations with T-Series failed, prompting the Authority to invoke the Land Acquisition Act, 2013. The ₹31 crore project aims to alleviate traffic congestion at Pari Chowk and enhance connectivity between Noida and Greater Noida.

Enhancing Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

In a bid to promote sustainable transportation, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) plans to establish 15 new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across the city. Each station will feature three charging points to accommodate multiple vehicles simultaneously. The rollout plan will be informed by studying similar infrastructure models in other cities to address and rectify shortcomings seen in past projects. Currently, electric vehicles constitute only 2.7% of the over one million registered vehicles in GB Nagar.

New Parallel Expressway to Ease Noida-Greater Noida Traffic

To reduce congestion on the current Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, Noida Authority has approved a new 32-km expressway running parallel from Sector 94 (Kalindi Kunj) to Sector 150, connecting with the Yamuna Expressway. Designed to support growing traffic from urban expansion and the upcoming Noida International Airport, the new route will enhance connectivity to sectors like 128, 135, 150, 151, and 168.

Rotaries are planned at both ends—for smoother access to Delhi, Faridabad, and Yamuna Expressway. The project is a joint effort with NHAI, RITES, and the irrigation department, with funding and road design (elevated or along Yamuna Pushta Road) currently under review.

Conclusion

The Noida Expressway is undergoing significant transformations to enhance connectivity, safety, and support the region's growth. With the development of new elevated roads, expansion of electric vehicle infrastructure, and safety upgrades, the expressway is poised to become a more efficient and sustainable corridor. These developments not only promise improved travel experiences for commuters but also present lucrative opportunities for real estate investment and economic expansion in the region.
